Dashashwamedh ghat is one of the oldest, most spectacular and important ghat located at the bank of the river Ganges near to the old Vishwanath Temple in the Varanasi or Kashi. The ghat is famous for Ganga Aarti at each evening after sunset. Thousands of earthen lamps are immersed in the Ganges as floating lamps, which is a great religious ritual of the Hindu devotees.
It is great to see the real attraction of this ghat in the evening when Ganga Aarti is held here. During the Kartik Poornima, a Maha Ganga Aarti is held at the ghat which attracts unbelievable crowd.
This extremely popular ghat has become a religious spot for the devotees and pilgrims for years and tourists as well.
