Over 2000 Buses to Operate During Magh Mela
Devotees travelling to Magh Mela venue will have it easy this time as reserved buses will be in operation too. The AC buses will make the travel comfortable.
More than 2,000 buses will operate to improve connectivity with Allahabad during Magh Mela to be held in January and February.
The extra buses will be operation between January 24 and February 2. As many as 2,070 buses including 200 reserved buses will operate during the period. The maximum turnout of devotees, about 85 lakh, is expected on January 27 which happens to be ‘Mauni Amavasya’.
The huge turnout is also expected on Paush Purnima, Makar Sankranti and Basant Panchami. Maximum, 370, buses will operate from Allahabad region while 350 from Gorakhpur region. Extra buses will also operate from Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, Azamgarh, Faizabad, Jhansi, Chitrakoot and Devipatan.
Round the clock check posts will be set up on Allahabad-Lucknow-Faizabad, Allahabad-Jaunpur-Gorakhpur, Allahabad-Varanasi, Allahabad-Kanpur and Allahabad-Banda-Rewa route.
Every region would also set up a control room.
