The state cabinet has given approval for expressway from Noida to Ballia. It will be the longest expressway in the country. The state will construct this highway from its own resources. Uttar Pradesh Government has generated enough resources to not only build roads but also make them accident free zones. Special care has been taken to minimise the accidents, in order to prevent fatality rate at Noida Expressway.

At a recent event, CM announced that a pucca bridge will be constructed at the Kharid-Darauli Ghat, for which funds will soon be released.
To give a boost to the economy of the state, the longest expressway of the country—Agra-Lucknow Expressway is being constructed and will be operational by 2016. This state-funded six-lane expressway will transform the industrial scenario of the state to a great extent. Farmers would also benefit from it as they would get a bigger and better market for their produce as large mandis would be constructed alongside the expressway.
A four-lane road along Sharda canal connecting the Lucknow-Kanpur highway is also being constructed. To provide better facilities to the devotees of the Kumbh Mela and Sangam area in Allahabad, the government has built a four-lane bridge on Ganga, for physically challenged and elderly devotees.
By launching various road-development projects like Agra- Lucknow Expressway, four lane roads linking district headquarters and many more across the state, Akhilesh, our very own People’s CM has left no stone unturned to give Uttar Pradesh a major road makeover under his governance.
