From Twisting Facts to Tailoring Himself, PM Modi is Doing Everything to Woo Crowds during Uttar Pradesh Elections

“Calling himself as the “adopted son” of UP, PM says that the future of the state cannot be ensured without BJP”

Yes, we are talking about a recent election rally in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, where prime minister Narendra Modi said that Uttar Pradesh (Varanasi) has adopted him and since he’s the son of UP, he will develop the state.  He also invoked Lord Krishna in the election rally to suggest a strong connect between Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh. He also said, “Uttar Pradesh is my “Mai-Baap”, and I am not the son who would betray his Mai-Baap.”

Contrary to his above statement, UP’s Janta Janardan feel that, why would Uttar Pradesh adopt an outsider when it has a Yuva leader who has worked for the development of the people and has more plans to make the state and its people progressive.  Yes, we are referring to the most secular UPCM, Akhilesh Yadav who has successfully improved the overall condition of Uttar Pradesh in the past five years with his development work and promises clean and effective governance. The crowds gathering at his rallies are indicative of his unbeatable popularity and there’s a common sentiment in UP that the Son of the Soil Akhilesh Yadav has UP in his heart and soul.

Modi’s statement might anger a lot of people in Uttar Pradesh who haven’t really heard from the PM or his BJP leaders in all these years. Wonder if Gujarat is feeling embittered at this moment.

Why did PM Modi lie on UP’s electricity scenario?

PM has always been accused of getting his facts and numbers wrong. In the recent past also, Modi has been seen making hollow and false promises, particularly in the context of his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi in UP. He has very freshly been caught lying on supply of electricity in Uttar Pradesh villages. PM’s exaggerated claims on how many villages had been electrified in UP laid bare, when NDTV journalist Mr. Ravish Kumar ran a ground-survey of villages in UP and was shocked to see how BJP ministers are publicly fooling Indians.

These types of statements made by the people show that Narendra Modi has nothing to say and BJP is facing a real challenge to win hearts of people in Uttar Pradesh.

Why are BJP leaders not talking about their work in UP?

In 2014, PM Narendra Modi launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, but the campaign ended on the grounds and not much success came out of it. This shocking report by leading news channel Aaj Tak reveals the real truth of Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Watch this video: http://aajtak.intoday.in/video/reality-of-clean-india-campaign-in-madhya-pradesh-seedhi-district-1-912993.html

The second big campaign, Make in India also didn’t turn up the way Modi government wanted it to be. He launched the campaign to generate skilled workforce, but reports reveal that unless urgent steps are taken, Make in India will remain a non-starter.

Then came Demonetisation, a move by PM Narendra Modi which took the lives of 40 people from rural India, out of which 11 cases have been reported from Uttar Pradesh. At that time, a press statement came from the Akhilesh Yadav government, “It is unfortunate that people have died after standing in ATM and bank queues in the state because demonetisation”, and UP became the first state to give relief for demonetisation deaths.

In such a scenario, it has been hard for PM Modi or his party leaders to speak about the success of their work. Their rallies have been revolving around mudslinging Akhilesh Yadav all while snubbing his party’s visible work in UP. Not only this, there have been instances wherein Modi and his squad have attempted to rouse polarisation and mistrust amongst people at multiple locations.

With a highly aware population now, such old tactics in elections seem hard to work in favour of the Modi squad.

Uttar Hamara feels that PM Modi should clearly not indulge in dividing the secular vibes in Uttar Pradesh or mislead people with untrue facts. There’s a visible anger against BJP recently and this too might make things worse for them during the ongoing UP elections 2017.
