The Lucknow Mahotsav or Lucknow Festival celebrates the Lucknow’s living culture, which provides an insight into the old, cultured atmosphere of the city. Colourful processions, traditional dramas, folk-dances, sarangi and sitar recitals along with gazals, qawalis and thumri create a festive atmosphere. One can taste the traditional delicacies of Lakhnawi cuisine, ranging from mouth-watering vegetarian cuisine to the lip-smacking non-vegetarian spread for which Lucknow is famous.

HOW TO REACH – The time of Lucknow Festival is the best time to visit Uttar Pradesh as this provides the great chance to witness the religious festival and also be the part of stunning carnival. From the city of Lucknow the nearest airport is Amausi (14 km). Super-fast and express trains join Lucknow to Guwahati, Varanasi, Puri, Kolkata, Dehradun, Allahabad and Ahmadabad. Lucknow is on the vital cross routes of National Highways 24, 25 and 28. UPSRTC bus stand is at Charbagh, Opp. Railway station.
