Lucknow Zoo gets ISO certification
Uttar Pradesh government gets another Green Brooch for the preservation and sustenance of Lucknow Zoo. Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden popularly known as Lucknow Zoo has recently got ISO (International Organization for Standardization) certification for preservation and conservation of animals and forest wealth.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has been handed over the ISO Certification granted to Lucknow Zoo by Principal Secretary- forest and wildlife Sanjeev Saran, in the state capital on May 31, 2016. The certification was issued on May 19.
A Certificate of Environmental Responsibility
The certification has been awarded for the upkeep of zoo, modes of recreation, better care of animals and forest wealth on the campus, research and training.
Expressing happiness over the achievement, the Chief Minister said that he expects further improvement in the zoo.
